End of Life Notice
Discontinuance of “Y5V” Material Capacitors
Please be advised that S-P International’s, Sanyo-CAP ceramic capacitors, are no
longer available in “Y5V” material. This applies to all MLCC SMD and leaded parts as
well as ceramic disk capacitors. Capacitors using this material should not be used in
new product designs.
There may be some specific value/voltage combinations that are still available due to
current stock situations or factory availability or raw material. Contact S-P International
for current availability.
This change has been made necessary due to the industry wide lack of demand for this
material and factory phase outs of production.
It is suggested that for new designs, capacitors using X7R or X5R material should be
used where ever possible.
